Undecided?

“I look at these people and can't quite believe that they exist. Are they professional actors? I wonder. Or are they simply laymen who want a lot of attention? To put them in perspective, I think of being on an airplane. The flight attendant comes down the aisle with her food cart and, eventually, parks it beside my seat. "Can I interest you in the chicken?" she asks. "Or would you prefer the platter of shit with bits of broken glass in it? To be undecided in this election is to pause for a moment and then ask how the chicken is cooked."

90's called

I recently asked my dad to dig up my Lite-Brite from my garage so i could do some cool shit on it and put it in my house. I started Google-ing Lite Brites and this came up.... it blew my mind! So amazing!!!
From 2006:
26 year-old artist Mark Beekman recently completed his year-long project of creating the "World's Largest Lite-Brite." Measuring approximately 5 feet tall by 10 feet wide, over 125,000 original Lite-Brite pegs were used to recreate a 1:9 scale of Leonardo DaVinci’s "Last Supper." The structure, built entirely out of aluminum, supports the 50 square foot sheet metal "canvas" as well as the hand-made gold frame surrounding the image. The piece also has its own backlighting system utilizing Cee-Lite electroluminescent panels, which Time magazine has recently dubbed one of the "Best Inventions of 2006." .

the man...

F. Gary Gray is set to direct "Marvin" - a biopic of iconic singer Marvin Gaye with C. Gaby Mitchell signed on to write the script.

Variety reports the film will be produced by David Foster with Duncan McGillivray. The duo are planning to shop the film to studios and financiers next week and the production does have complete music rights to Gaye’s catalog of music.

Gray (“The Italian Job”) has wanted to get a film made about Gaye, but the project hung on the music rights. The director will have competition for Gaye’s life story with the James Gandolfini produced “Sexual Healing” also in the works.

"Sexual Healing" (which stars Jesse L. Martin) is said to focus on Gaye’s declining years in the music industry due to the film only receiving the rights to Gaye’s post-Motown career.

Gray’s “Marvin” will cover the singer’s entire life including his rise at Motown, his defiance of Berry Gordy with the recording of "What's Goin' On," and his death in 1984.

I remembering listening to Marvin Gaye records with my dad and to this day he is one of my favorites. Oh im so so so excited. :) let's just hope they do Marvin justice.

Jeremy Scott for Adidas

I came across this post on The Clones blog and it seriously put a huge smile on my face. Jeremy Scott is an American designer who attended Pratt Institute and was named the number 31 in Face's 'Most Important People in Fashion' issue, ranking higher than Alexander McQueen and our Stella McCartney. He has worked with everyone from Kanye West to Bjork. Scott has done one other collaboration with Adidas but this one (coming out next spring) is by far the most innovative. Check it out...

I'm having a love affair-and her name is Stella

Can we please just die over this collection? Because L is:

Let me start with I've never been a crazy Stella McCartney fan, but her RTW Spring 2009 just blew me away. She made clothes that the models could literally walk off the runway and onto the streets while feeling sexy, professional, and above all comfortable (though comfort is not usually a word that comes with high fashion!). These clothes make you want to wrap yourself in them and fast forward to spring, and though the colors may seem dull I like to think the natural and nude colors seem perfect against the backdrop of life. Her silk jumpsuits (not pictured) are also something key and hopefully a staple in every girl's closet this coming spring season.

So pull out your copy of 'A Streetcar Named Desire' and swoon over Stella.
